Pearl District Culinary Farmers Market

The Pearl District just gave Portland foodies a brand-new Sunday ritual. June 7th marked the official debut of the Pearl District Culinary Farmers Market, and to say the community showed up would be a massive understatement!

A huge crowd of locals packed the lanes to check out an incredible lineup of vendors. From fresh seasonal berries to artisan cheeses and hyper-local pantry staples, the market completely delivered on its promise to bridge the gap between Oregon’s best farms and Portland’s top kitchens.

Community, Music, and Masterclasses

It wasn't just about filling up your grocery tote because the market felt like a true community block party from start to finish.

  • Spotted in the Crowd: Portland City Councilor Olivia Clark, a Re-Ignite the Pearl supporter, as well our Distict 4 representative. Bill Truncali, the dynamic leader of the PDNA’s Parks Committee, was out chatting with neighbors and supporting the launch of this vibrant new community hub.

  • The Soundtrack: Local favorite Tahirah Memory blessed the market with her incredible, soulful vocals, providing the absolute perfect soundtrack for a Sunday morning stroll.

  • Chef in Action: Over at the demo booth, Chef Kasey Mills completely stole the show. He gave an incredible cooking demonstration, showing the crowd exactly how to transform raw, market-fresh ingredients into restaurant-quality dishes right at home.

If week one was any indication, this "Chef's Market" is going to be the crown jewel of Portland’s food scene. If you missed out on June 7th, don't sweat it. Clear your schedule for next Sunday, grab a tote bag, and we'll see you there!

  • Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

  • Location: NW 13th Avenue (between NW Everett and Glisan Streets)

  • Admission: Free and open to the public

A Big Thank You

A huge thank you goes out to the Ray Davis, PDNA President Bruce Studer and the many volunteers of the Pearl District Neighborhood Association, and Kimiko Matsuda for putting this wonderful event together. Their hard work brought the neighborhood together and created a fantastic new space for local food and culture to thrive.
