Portland Textile X Month (PTXM) returns this October with more than 40 exhibitions, workshops, talks, and gatherings across the city. This year's theme, Layers of Resilience, asks how textiles and community help us hold on to memory, adapt, and care for each other through uncertain times. Many events are free, thanks to a grassroots festival that brings together makers, teachers, students, businesses, and textile lovers of all ages and backgrounds.

    Mono Space is a high fidelity listening gallery dedicated to the preservation of music culture and the presentation of music recordings as works of art.  

    Located in a renovated warehouse in Portland’s historic Pearl District, this nonprofit venture provides opportunities for collective deep listening experiences, while offering public programming that opens up the layered worlds of recorded music, past and present.

First Thursday Gallery Walk: PADA Celebrates 40 Years!

2026 marks the 40th anniversary of the the Pearl District’s iconic First Thursday Gallery Walk openings! What began in 1986 as a small, collaborative effort to boost the local art scene has grown into a beloved, city-wide tradition that connects artists, galleries, and art lovers all year round.

The Portland Art Dealers Association (PADA) is celebrating four decades of cultivating our city's vibrant, inclusive arts ecosystem. From opening receptions and artist talks to the annual PADA Pop-Up, there is always something inspiring to discover.
